Assisted Living

Assisted Living is a residential or facility-based program for people with physical or cognitive disabilities who need help with one or more activities of daily living. It provides older adults with housing and supportive services, enabling them to remain in a home-like setting within their communities while maintaining independence and dignity. Assisted Living is not paid by Medicare. Costs are usually  private pay, long term care insurance, community options Medicaid waiver, veterans’ benefits.

Senior Assisted Living Subsidy Program

The Senior Assisted Living Subsidy Program helps low- to moderate-income adults age 62 years and older pay for assisted living programs they would otherwise ​be unable to affor​d. The subsidy can cover the cost of services provided in assisted living—including meals, personal care, and 24-hour supervision for residents who need help living independently.

Project Home

Project Home, also known as the C.A.R.E. (Certified Adult Residential Environment) Program is a supportive housing program for persons with mental illness or other disabilities offering an adult foster family model of care that provides a stable, family-like living arrangement in the community.

Long-Term Care: Resources are available to help with evaluating different long-term support options, calculating costs, and preparing for the future.
