Brain Health

The Maryland Department of Aging offers resources related to brain, mental, and cognitive health, including education, support, services, and funding opportunities.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Distress

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides immediate support for people experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. Support is available by dialing 988 or interacting via a chat platform.

Mental Health Resources

The Mental Health Association of Maryland provides resources for older Marylanders to help them protect and improve their mental health.

AD:8 Cognitive Screening

Compare signs of normal aging to potential signs of mild dementia through an eight-question screening tool.

Caregiver and Dementia Support

The Maryland Family Caregiver Support Program is administered by the local network of Area Agencies on Aging. The program helps family and informal caregivers care for their loved ones at home for as long as possible.
