Access to nutritious food is a fundamental need and vital to remaining healthy and independent. Maryland has several programs that can connect eligible residents to healthy groceries and prepared meals.

Maryland Department of Aging leads nutrition programs for older adults throughout the state, allocating state and federal funding, and ensuring quality service delivery for programs administered by local partners.

SNAP Benefits

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides funds for low-income households to buy the food they need to stay healthy.
