Access to safe and reliable transportation is essential in remaining independent and active. For many older adults and people with disabilities who do not drive, supportive transportation services improve their access to healthy food, health care, employment, essential services, and their communities.

Transportation for People with Disabilities

Mobility specialized transit provides transportation services to people who are unable to get to a bus stop, wait unassisted at a stop or station, or board or ride a bus or train by themselves due to a disability.

Reduced Fare Program for People with Disabilities

Disability Reduced Fare Certification program helps eligible participants pay less for public transportation.

Village Model Network

Many Village model community-based organizations provide peer-to-peer volunteer transportation supports for older adults and people with disabilities.

Supporting Older Adults with Resources (SOAR) provides home and community-based services that may include transportation.
